My Sleeve is a Diva!
I am slowly finding out that my lovely new sleeve is a total diva. Last night I took 2 bites of greek yogurt and she was like - Oh no you didn't! So away went the yogurt and out came the cold cuts that miss thing prefered. Vitamins are a no go with Little Miss Thing - chewables come right back up - liquid = bloating, gas, and discomfort all day. So now ordering some liqu-gel vitamins.
Really looking forward to progressing to "real" food - I think the diva will love denser protein - she totally rejects the more liquidy items and craves more solid proteins - weird! Like all great diva's, I can drink like a fish (ok - its G2 or Powerade or 4C Totally light), so that is at least working out well!
I am a totally laid back person - so I am finding it HYSTERICAL that i have Miss Thing in me now. Now I just need to come up with a Diva Name fitting for such a *****y sleeve! Any suggestions?

Mine's not a diva, just fussy. First time it started with all that noise and fuss I was reminded of Winnie the Pooh and "I've got a rumbly in my tumbly". So my sleeve became Rumbly and for some reason has come to be referred to as "he" even though I'm a she. No idea why, but no use fighting the inevitable.
Divas....hmmm....I'm too old. All mine are the wrong generation. Aretha? Madonna? Cher? I dunno.

LOL - it's funny you say he - cause when I do my sleeve's voice (ok - I'm a total weirdo, I know, but when my family asks why I don't want to eat what I just fixed, I gotta answer - so I do it in my sleeve's voice), it comes out more like a gay man - kinda like the guy who took the Armoir from Kramer in Sienfeld if you are at all familiar!
Ok - the more I type, the crazier I sound - I'll blame it on the sleeve - but truth is I've always been silly!
Aretha - that could work though!

Yes, mine is noisy too!! ohmygosh, if I eat, then am in a quiet room, I feel like the rumbles are a 9 on the richter scale.
So far, mine is pretty tolerant as far as what I eat. In the almost 10 weeks I've had a sleeve, I've had two *episodes*. One was waking up, drinking crystal light, no food, then taking my vitamins. I threw up. Shocked me. The other was I had some chicken wings, I just ate the inside, not the crunchy skin, but I either ate them too fast, or ate too much, because I got the slimeys. YUCK. Tons and tons of saliva that just kept coming, and all I could do was spit it out. It wasn't throwing up, but there was *something* going on!
I'm also lucky in that, like many, I get a clear "you're DONE" when my stomach's had enough. It doesn't matter if *I* haven't had enough yet! It's a full-stop feeling and I have learned that no matter how much I want that "one more bite" -- I do NOT want that one more bite :) Or else I have that "ate too much at Thanksgiving" feeling, even if I only had an ounce to eat. I am getting SUCH a kick out of this whole thing!

It is a crazy ride - isn't it! I think mine has the stop sign too - I've felt it - once took one more bite and got Thanksgiving, next time stopped and was satisfied for several hours.
Mine doesn't so much make noise - it's just a feeling - like You want me to eat THAT? I don't think so! Then it's get something that will make sleevie happy!
Hope I don't ever get the slimeys - they sound aweful!

You're lucky you don't get the noise - sometimes you can hear them across the room. They provide hours of entertainment for my teenage daugther, but are a tad embarrasing at work. For some reason they're at their worst with my pills/supplements, which I always take with a protein drink because they only time my sleeve EVER acted like a diva was when I tried to take pills on an empty stomach.
Like you, I've decided to take it with a sense of humor and honestly I've found Rumbly's little idiosyncratic ways to be great fun. It helps that I've had a pretty easy time.
