Emelar...did you take your Byetta the 2 weeks of pre-op liquid diet?  I am on Byetta also and it is the reason that I am doing this surgery.  It makes me sweat so badly that I can't take it anymore, but at the moment it is the only medicine that controls my blood sugar.  I was on Lantus before and I didn't do well with it.  I look forward to being dry again.

Actos and Metformin pre-surgery, my fasting blood sugars were always 130-150 and I would see spikes after eating to 230, my A1c was around 7.0.    

I left the hospital with no meds and typically see my blood sugars in the morning range from 85-105 and the highest I have seen after eating has been 136.

So far so good for me...  I will have an A1c next month and am looking forward to the results.
