May Sleevers Checking In!
Hey y'all-- how y'all doing?
I'm pretty good-- feeling good, trying to keep cool and active and on plan, as usual. Had kind of a carb freak out these last couple of days between my period coming and hosting a BBQ and all, but I'm back on track and hopefully will begin losing again soon.
I started jogging yesterday... I can't even believe it. It was so spur of the moment I was shocked. I couldn't get my head off the pillow all day yesterday and finally put on my gym clothes about an hour before my support group meeting, realizing that there was no way I could make it to the gym AND the support group, so I figured I'd hit the gym after. So off I went and I got there 30 minutes early, and it's held at a local high school... so I walked down the 1/4 mile to the track, started walking, then thought "what the hay-- why not jog?" so I did! I did 1/2 lap jogging, 1/2 lap walking/recovering for the 25 minutes until the meeting was to start.
HOLY CRAP was it hard and was I sweaty! But I did it and I was proud of myself.
Then after my meeting I was planning to go to Karaoke with friends, but I had over an hour to kill, but not long enough to get home and shower, so I tried finding a branch of my gym close to where I was... to no avail... so I went to the high school in the town near Karaoke and jogged on their track for 25 minutes, too!
When I got to the bar/restaurant people were giving me all kinds of looks, but I didn't care-- I was just so proud of myself!
