january 2011 sleevers -- we're 6 months old!!! how is everyone?
Horray for all of you!!
I was 6 months out on July 3rd.
I was an 18/20 and 245 pounds.
This morning I weighed in at 162!! I wear a size 10 and small shirts!
I work out on the eliptical for 45 minutes followed by weight training. What a difference 6 months make. People who haven't seem me, don't recognize me. I am so happy I could just burst. Wow...I wish I did this sooner! NO more heel spurs, no more high blood pressure, no more double chins!
12 pounds until goal!! As an incentive, my dad is giving me $1000 to buy clothes when I get there!!!

After a very rough start (a leak) I came out of the gate swinging. Then just had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago on top of everything else, but it was SO easy and after it I started losing like crazy. I have lost 13 pounds in the last 9 days. But I was having alot of stalls the months before I went in for my hysterectomy. Surg was on 1-24-11 and weight loss is now about 80 pounds. Like everyone else, I am really pushing it now (low cal/low carb) to maximize the 6 month honeymoon effect and to try to get to 100 pound loss somewhere around the end of the 6th month. Will prob be short, but really want to have all my weight off (160 pounds) by the end of the first year. I refuse to buy clothes until I am close to goal. I still feel fat. My stomach and chest are exasperatingly slow to go down. I am now doing Zumba and my home treadmill. I have not felt this good since I was in my 30's. Good luck to all of my sleeve brothers and sisters--we will make it! It IS getting easier and this blog has taught me so much about how to maximize my weight loss--I wonder how sleevers that are not on this site manage to lose weight!
