Any obstruction stories out there?

I guess that's what I had... I'm doing great now, But I'd love to hear anyone elses experiences!!!

I remember you asking about this before.  Did you really have an obstruction? You'd be the first out there that I have heard of...love to have more details. I'm not worried about it for myself, but it is always good to have knowledge to help someone else.  Hope you are feeling better now!

I know... it is SO strange.  It was officially an obstruction, I asked my doctor what it was called, he had referred to it as a "kink" before...

From everything I can find on line is is super rare for VSG, and when it does happen it is usually a bowel thing... mine was my actual stomach.

I guess when they tacked it in place they messed up and left to acute of a curve, which manifested as an obstruction.  Even my own saliva made me horrendously nauseous.  It was horrible. 

They took very good care of me and had me back in surgery within a few hours of realizing the problem... so I was put under twice in less than 24 hours... ick.  And my tummy was really, REALLY swollen from all the abuse and it took me longer to get anything in... they had to keep me on the IV for 4 days, but other than that I did great.. almost no pain :-)

I just hate being the only one out there... it is unsettling!
