Goal Size
I never thought about a goal size. It's been so long since I was anything other than a XL or 2XL that I'd forgotten that clothes come in sized like 10,12,14, etc. And since the advent of "vanity sizing" I didn't even know what size I could possibly be! Turns out, I've already outgrown size 14, 12 may be getting too big, and 10 looks promising. Who'd a thunk it? Not me. Not ever.
My surgeon won't suggest a goal weight so I picked my own in the mid-range of normal.
Good luck to you!

I am 5ft1 and my goal weight is 120lbs- and I want to be at least a size 8. I want a single digit- but as long as I am at a weight I am comfortable in than I will be happy. I just bought a size 10 dress- it is a stretchy material. I can get into Express size 12 jeans but buttoned they were way to tight. I do have other size 12 pants I fit into.
I have been in a stall for about a month now- but I am loosing inches! :)

I'm still making up my mind. I'd like to be a size 10, because I don't think I ever was. My doctor would like it to be around 125. The least I've weighed as an adult is 150, and that was over 30 years ago. But I was 170 through high school/college, so that's probably a good weight for me now.
You might want to check out http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm which has a calculator and ways of determining what an "ideal weight" is.

The more weight I lose, the less the number on the scale means to me. Yes...I was disheartened when the scale stopped at 204.25, just shy of 100lbs lost and stayed there for what seemed like forever until it finally dipped below 204 yesterday... but for the most part the number means less and less. It is becoming more about how I feel when I look in the mirror. More than being 170lbs I want to be able to walk into "normal" clothing stores and be able to buy something. Something that fits well and looks good. That is all I ever wanted anyway to be "normal". I see myself completely happy at a size 12 or 14.

I'm 5'9". I was thinking 14 as well. Now, I'm thinking maybe lower. I'm already a 22 in pants. I'll stop losing when I stop. I'm not going to intentionally stop myself. I'm guessing 10 or 12 may be where I stop, but you never know. My ticker says 195, but I was thinking 215 at first. But after being on this forum for so long, I'm thinking that I will just wait and see.
