May Sleevers Checking In!

Crunchy As Can Be

Ok everyone, how are all you May sleevers out there doing?

I've had a bit of an emotional roller coaster these last couple of weeks between personal stress with family/school/work, etc and happy stuff with SV/NSV and getting engaged to my partner of 6.5+ years. Phew!

On the weightloss front I'm so pleased to have lost just over the 50 lbs mark-- a HUGE milestone for me!

On the exercise front I've bumped up my running intervals in speed and duration a tiny bit... all to get me prepared to jog/walk the 5K I'm doing in just under a month. I can't wait!

On the food front, I'm doing well with pre-planning, which I think is really helping to get me to where I want to be body and health wise.

On the poop front, I had stopped taking twice daily colace about 2 weeks ago as I'd added quite a bit of benefiber into my water bottles daily and had started eating some fruits and veggies. Things were going great and I was still having daily BMs until two days ago when I literally got "all stopped up" and had to take drastic measures to get it all out. It was AWFUL and my butt has spent the last couple of days recovering. Plus I started back on my colace, which is maybe a step back, but I don't want to get so impacted that I ruin my behind any time soon again.

How are you all doing?

I'm doing good too.

At the three month mark I had lost half of my excess weight.  A week later I hit Onederland.  Now as I am into month four, the weight is coming off slower.  I know this is too be expected, but still annoying.

Since I don't like meat, I will likely always use protein drinks daily.  My current favorite is Premier Protein in chocolate.  I like the convenience of the ready to drink packages.  I have a protein shake for breakfast, then food for lunch and dinner.  I do not snack at all.

I walk for exercise, but need to do more.

I carry my weight in my hips and thighs.  Like many other have noted, as I lose weight, I am melting from the top down.  My face looks different and I have collar bones showing.  Lucikly I took measurements before surgery, so I know my hips and thighs are shrinking, but I would like to see more progress there.

At the 3 month mark I have lost just under 50 lbs from my surgery weight, and a total of nearly 60 in all (including my pre op loss).

I am pretty happy and getting closer and closer to onederland :)

I could be doing a bit better on the exercise front but started attending a yoga class weekly (and try and get in some yoga workouts during the week) also I dance playing dance central on the kinect.

Working on bumping up the workouts anyways...

Foodwise I am doing okay, not perfect but okay lol. Getting back to tracking though and doing good.

Hey a everyone

I had a really slow start as my dr and nut insisted on a low calorie way of eating with min carbs. I was losing soooo slowly!!! I switched it up and removed all carbs (cept for good greens) and now I'm going pretty good! I wish I was doing that from the beginning!!! I feel like I have fallen behind!

I am doing 60 mins of fast walking @ 5% incline every week day I'm really enjoying it! I was doing the c25k program but I just don't feel comfortable running yet. Soon I bet but just not yet.

I'm getting so much protein in now that I should be able to let go of my protein shakes for awhile and that's good cuz I'm sick of them!

If I stop weighing myself once a day I might get even better results lol someone hide my scale!!!!

All in all I'm very happy to be me. - first time said in a LONG time

Hey all,

Doing good here; I have lost 45 pounds, so a bit less than some, but I also started smaller, so it's to be expected, I guess.  I am at 162 this morning, which is the same weight I was during much of college.  I'm looking forward to 157, which will be the highest weight where I can be overweight without being obese :)

I jogged/walked a 5k this weekend - the warrrior dash, which is a 5k at a ski slope, with a bunch of fun and idiotic challenges (a log roll, climbing walls and a cargo net, going under barbed wire, a tire run, etc.).  I was slow, and not graceful, but I finished the darn thing, and had a blast!  (And, there were viking horns and beer, so all the better  !).

Eating wise, I fell off the wagon last week/end, and had chips, and pizza, pasta and ice cream.  Little amounts, but still, not what I should be doing.  I went up 2 pounds :(  So, Monday I climbed right back on that wagon, and have repaired the damage.  I am actually happy to know that I can make the choice to be stupid, and easily re-assert control.  I don't feel like  "I messed up, might as well quit."

So, things are going slower, but still going.... hope all is well with everyone else.
