This is the first time since my surgery (over 7 months ago) that I have the hiccups!  I honestly didn't know if I *could* get them any more.

Dang, I was hoping that I'd never get them again.

I hope they go away soon, I forgot how annoying they are.

Crisis over.  I held my breath for a minute and 15 seconds and they went away.  LOL  But I really did wonder before if I would be capable of having the hiccups still.

Question answered!

OMG!!!  I had surgery only a few days ago and I HaVe had hiccups!!  (Actually they were more like a hiccup-then-burp.)  Can you say, "Painful!!!"

I'm glad they went away.

Same here! I had them starting on day two after drinking! Followed by burping... man did that hurt! I'm just glad that the pain is going away when I burp or hicup now.

Hi Guys,
For what it worth, I, too, had terrible hiccups after my surgery - then I remembered that a good friend of mine's dad had open heart surgery and got the hiccups...can you imagine that? One of the nurses came running with lemon juice and believe it or not, after just one teaspoonful, they were gone!

When my kids were little and got the hiccups, I'd get the lemon juice out-they started calling it "hiccup medicine"... I have used it ever since, because I get painful hiccups still, even after my VSG. Good luck!
