expensive...

IT does seem like it is costly at the beginning...buying all of the protein and vitamins.  I bought alot of different protein until I found one that I could tolerate. It does get better...you will eventually not need as much protein supplements...you will get it from your food.  The vitamins are alot at the beginning but then you just replace as needed.  All I can say is...it is so worth it.  And..you will not be spending as much on food.

And...it is all so worth it.  It is the best money you will ever spend!!

Good luck to you.

I totally over spent before surgery wanting to have everything ready ahead of time. I bought soooo much protein stuff in every flavor and every kind I thought would taste good. Well not that I am over surgery most of them taste too sweet. The protein shakes I gravitate towards are my health wise shakes that basically taste like drinking juice. My vitamins consist of ...Multi vitamin 2 x daily, b-12 2500mcg 1x daily, biotin 1000mcg 2 x daily, tums for calcium citrate 2 x daily. As far as the cost endured from surgery....I feel your pain on that one. I had a $1,000 deductable to be meet for insurance then I had to pay 10% which I believe was about $1,500 the day of surgery , then my surgeon charges a $4,800 aftercare fee for his program. But now that it is all said and done I would do it all over again. Any money invested was worth it to have the best of everything!!!!

I'm paying $13,500+ just for my surgery because it is not covered by my  insurance. You are lucky to only have a co-pay. I weighed this option carefully (no pun intended) because that is money that I am taking away from my family and anything that they may need in the future. We are also in the middle of purchasing a new house, so I am also worried about using money we may need for other things during the purchase and sale of our current home. But I know that this is what I need to do to be healthy. It will be worth it for me to be a better person and it will be worth it for you, too. Good luck with your surgery. You are being sleeved two days after me!
