2 week log period, wtf

So I went from the pill to the shot for this surgery. i got my period a little bit after a week out and it hasn't stopped yet. my one month surgiversary is thursday. has anyone else had this? it's obnoxioussss

mine came right after surgery and lasted 10 days. The doctor said it has something to do with the blood thinners I was given in the hospital.  Talk to your doctor.

This is normal with the shot. I had my first shot of Depo Provera about a month before surgey. My period started out very light on the 4th which was 2 days after surgery (it was expected though not caused by surgery). It then turned into a full period although lighter than usual. I am still spotting as of today but I can tell it is ending because it is no longer bright.

I've got an IUD and about 3 days after surgery I started and it lasted about 4 days which is a bit long for me, then a week later I got another one which lasted 7 days and THEN about 10 days after that one ended I got another one which lasted about 5 days. Surgery seriously threw my body out of whack but my OB/GYN and Surgeon both said that it's pretty normal and it'll regulate itself out again as the weight comes off. I had a super long one too right after. I was back to normal by the next month.
