My sleeve rocks!
Ok, ok so I know I am new to this, but man I really can't stop comparing my sleeve to my lap band experience and how superior it is! I had the added bonus of an auto-immune reaction to my band, with swelling joints, random aches and pains, referred shoulder pain and horrible migraines (all which I had no idea was related to the band until it was GONE!). Even with weight loss I was still sore and cranky any time we had to do anything that required me to be on my feet for more then a half hour or more.
Today, I walked over four miles WITH my 28 lbs 2 year old on my hip in a sling, no pain, no aching and I enjoyed every minute of it. Also, I was able to have a shake before I left and the food at the fair held NO power over me, I was not hungry at all. My DH got a chicken skewer for himself and I had one bite and was done. I was so happy to just look around, take in the sites, talk to the people and enjoy my kids having fun. I noticed so many things that I never really did before b/c I was so caught up in what I was going to eat next!
My husband even said it was like night and day, and he is also very happy with the change!

Honestly, this is what I thought living with the band would be like and it was not even in the same ball park. I love not worrying that I am going to get stuck, I can have a tiny taste of things that I would have NEVER tried with my band (like the chicken skewer today, I would have never been able to have that with my band!).
