Prayers please
I could have written your post. I'm having my surgery on Tuesday. All along through this process I've felt calm and sure I was doing the correct thing. Today, though, I had the same thoughts - all of those "what if" ' s which I must imagine are common for parents of small children - and have been pretty anxious over it. I just have to remind myself that the risk of something happening to me is greater if I dont have the surgery than it is with the surgery. And pray.
Let's share good news soon!

First you are doing the right thing - for yourself. I was banded in 03 and lost my band in July (but hit goal for almost 7 years)...I go in again on Oct 3rd for a revision to Sleeve.
I usually do great until they get me in the operating room and then tears start...the nurses at my doc are so wonderful, they rub my arms and say little prayers in Spanish (at least that's what I think they are and I'm sticking to it)...
It's a big step and one you took after alot of research and thought...you are doing the right thing..

Everything will be fine -- before you know it you'll be on the post-op side!
I'm okay now, but I'll be a little nervous tomorrow night and a lot nervous once I'm prepped and waiting to go in the pre-op, but I have no doubts that this is the right decision.
See you on the loser's bench at the end of the week!

Wishing you the very best outcome tomorrow. I have two babies too, and no mother makes this decision lightly. You've made a good choice to go to the very best surgeon you can. I really believe that the skill of the surgeon often makes for a good recovery. Think positively, hold your babies in your thoughts as they put you out, and you will wake up safe and sound. I will be thinking good thoughts and sending safe vibes tomorrow morning.
