New Guy scheduled for VSG

I'm scheduled for VSG on 10/24. 

I went to my initial consulation with my Dr. and he suggested that I go with the RNY but he would be happy to do the VSG as well. I considered the RNY but after reading on OH, I think I'm back to the VSG. 

I'm 52 y.o. 6 ft tall and weigh in at around 360 which puts my BMI around 48. My major food struggle is carbs. I like sweets as well but white carbs are my downfall.
