Looking to hear from those that are 6-7 weeks post op. Would like to know what you are eating? I realize some doctors might have different instructions, however, I am curious to see what the responses are?

Seems like my life consists of: black beans, chicken, string cheese, cottage cheese and protein shakes.

I am a creature of habit; so it's not terrible, but I wouldn't mind a little more variety. Unfortunately, I am not a big fish person. With the exception of sushi and shrimp.

I still can't have any raw veges or fruit. I can have a small amount of complex carbs, but by the time I eat my protein I am too full.

Oh and of course WATER. Lots of water.

Feeling great. E :)

Hi Elizabeth,

I'm eating pretty much the same as you, but occasionally will make a quesadilla with a ww wrap.  I cut it in 1/2, put in chicken or turkey and sprinkle a bit of cheese in it, fold it over and toss it in the microwave for 15 seconds.  Then I dip it in ff sour cream and a bit of salsa, mixed together.  It's really yummy!

Good luck!

I have my  6 week check up today.  Currently I am eating lots of greek yogurt, chicken, fish, and cooked veggies.  I made some chicken salad with minced celery & onion and used the greek yogurt in place of mayo. It was nice to have a small something crunchy.  If my diet restrictions change today i will repost.

Hey Elizabeth,

I'm still having a really hard time processing chicken so I was told to hold off for a couple more weeks.  Seafood is really easy on my new tummy so I seem to eat it often. My diet consists of the following:

Shrimp
Scallops
Lobster
Egg (once or twice a week)
Ground Turkey
Cheese
Greek Yogurt
Tuna (my go to food)
Protein Shakes (two a day since I'm not able to get much protein in with food).
Lots of water

Be Blessed

I was eating scrambled eggbeaters or egg whites, drinking a lot of milk, peanut butter on a wrap with low sugar jam (my sweet fix). no sugar added canned fruit, meatballs, all the meat salads - chicken/ham/tuna - using light olive oil mayo. also deli meat and cheese roll ups are great at this stage! Keep up the good work you are doing great!

Thanks Everyone - I received some new ideas, but for the most part it sounds like like we are all in the same boat. Not complaining, just checking. E :)
