Ketosis
Without reading up on that little nugget, my best guess at this point would be a little of both. Fat cells are gross. Our bodies, especially us girlies, have freaky hormone stuff going on too. So, it could be a combination of icky fat deposits shedding toxins into our system, along with pH changes, and then throw in the hormone issue, and it's a bit of a funkiliscious fest going on. I really didn't stink except my breath, but my chemistry was off, and the best way to describe it was a weird metallic/penny in mouth smell. . .

Wow! Great info. I don't have a strong desire one way or another about being in ketosis, but I assumed I would be with the lower carbs. I'm an engineer and I just wanted to test this theory. So I *was* surprised when the stick didn't turn purple.
If it really takes less than 20 g/day of carbs, I don't think I can do it, especially long-term. I'll need to stay on top of it to keep them below 40 g/day.
Now I think I'll try testing after a vigorous walk! I can't pass up a good science experiment.

I'm not saying don't learn..... Just saying that I've seen to many people "Over think" and trick themselves right outta the game.
Follow a good plan and educate yourself along the way for long term success !!!
Just keep a consistent path..... don't waver cause some yo yo tells you to up calories or mention starvation mode..... or some other crap....
Make it easy on yourself.... just concentrate on commitment and compliance and you will be there before you know it !!!
