OK I need a dress before next Friday, court date for final adoption for my new niece and nephews. My bil and sil have been fostering them for almost two years now and we finally get to keep them for ever! YAY! But back on topic. I have shrunk out of Lane Bryant I believe since I put on a size 14 this morning (again YAY!) and lb was always my go to store for dressy clothes. I am stuck, I don't know where to go and it's kinda scary and daunting to think about shopping. is that crazy or what?  So please help a shrinking sister out and tell me where you shop? inexpensively please, I plan on loosing more.

Do you have a Dress Barn or Fashion Bug? I have found some cute dresses in both of them, otherwise you can check Target or Macy's!

When I was still losing super fast and wanted to shop for very inexpensive clothes, I frequented Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Clothes Mentor.  Do you have any of them near you?  What about Dress Barn too?  Not quite as cheap as the first three but they do run good sales.

Hi there:

Just a quick thought do you have any good consignment shops in your area?  Some of them cater to more brand name clothing and might have something  court appropriate that isn't too expensive.  Now that you area misses size there should be a better selection.

Also some of the big discount chains like TJ MAX or Marshals or Nordstroms Rack could be a relatively inexpensive option.  If you buy something summery it should be on discount at this time of year and marked down.

Just a couple of ideas for you.

Thank you, yes I am hoping to hit up some clearance rack and maybe pair something with a shrug or wrap to extend it into the fall lol

Anywhere we want!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I would try....Macy's or Banana Republic or Dillard's or NY&Co or White House Black Market or Kohl's or Express or Anne Taylor or Anthropologie or....

Man, I'm sick today but you are really making me want to go to the mall!

I don't think its crazy to be scared of shopping, but just jump in there and get over it. I remember when I started getting into regular sizes, I walked into a store in the Las Vegas mall that I liked (Sandwich) and I looked at a few things but then walked right back out. I found my mom shopping in a different store and I made her go back to the store with me and look at the clothes to see if she thought they would fit me before I had the confidence to even take anything into the dressing room! lol Talk about crazy.

Another crazy thing about when I started shopping in the regular size stores is that I would have this fear that the shoppers and employees were looking at me like, "you think you can shop in here?!" and so when I would fit into the clothes, I'd march around outside of the dressing room in them so I could show them that I do too fit into their clothes. lol

Oh...I just realized I missed the "inexpensively" part of your post...some of those stores may not apply then!

Have fun and congrats on the adoption!

Lindsey
