Why is it so hard to take our own advice?

I'm always great at giving other people sane, rational advice but boy do I SUCK at taking it myself.  It's easier when we're not emotionally involved but with ourselves we just don't see it quite as clearly.

Hang in there, you're allowed a pity party for this morning, then move on and that pound will come off and you'll feel better.  Oh and just to make everyone happy, get a can of room spray for Ms. Cal Culator

HA, since I can't smell a darn thing, maybe I should just let the rest of you suffer! LOL

Thanks for the pat on the back, I needed it this morning!

I fall into this trap, too!  I KNOW what right and not right and what's real and not real, but when it happens to me it feels so much more.... I don't know... intense?  Unfair?  Frustrating?  Except almost everyone feels that way when it happens to them.

Such is life.

This too shall pass.  Hang in there.

Thanks! I think I am going to head back to bed with the baby and see if things look a little better in a few hours.

So sorry about your cold, and I feel your scale pain!  I don't know about you, but I don't take my own advice because I think it couldn't actually apply to *me*!  I'm an idiot!  Argh!  I know I shouldn't weigh every day.  Well, that's like great advice unless I'm losing EVERYDAY.  That's just too exciting to miss!

Today, up a half pound.  Boo-hoo!  Guess I'm three weeks out now and better quit weighing every day!  Hope you feel better.

I KNOW I should not weigh every day, yet there I am on the scale every morning. Most times a stall or gain don't really bother me b/c I know the overall trend is downwards, but today I just wanted to throw myself on the floor and cry.

I think it's time for some more meds and a nap LOL I just hope the baby works with me and not against me (he needs both too!).

Ditto - Sillysweet!

I'm having my own Pity Party this morning. Loss 6lbs over a week ago to gain back 4 this week. Couldn't understand what happened...I exercise 6-7days a week....I put in my protein and water...track my meals on myfitnesspal and stay within my range. WTH?  Guess my mindset is because I'm going through an audit and so alittle stress is messing with my system.

Oh well...guess will have to see what Saturday's numbers will bring.

Scoootch over tripmom...I want a piece of your party.

I'm pretty certain that you're carrying 1.5 lbs of snot around in your head and so you've really lost half a pound... it just doesn't show on the scale.
