Well today marks 1 month since my surgery.  I woke up I guess expecting this great transformation but got slapped up side the head instead lol.  Ok first I stepped on scale and I gained 4 poundsThen I took meausrements since everyone says you can still look inches. Well if they didn't stay the same 1 or 2 went up in size.  I haven't taken my pics yet today but I'm already totally bummed.  I can say one thing that could be affecting this or atleast I hope that it is which adds icing on the cake for me today.  My monthly friend is visiting today and she is heavier than I have ever seen.   I'm hoping my pics later will show something or I will be even more discouraged and bummed.  Thanks for listening.  Kerry

I think your weight loss is good... About the same as me around my 1 month. It is probably your hormones. We are releasing estrogen as our body is breaking down the fat. This is according to the PA at my surgeon's office.

Well, I am in the middle of my dreaded 3 week stall...I quickly dropped 25 pounds, then start of day 17 haven't moved a pound since.  I hit my 1 month yesterday too..so disappointing.  I can, however, tell that my inches are coming off.  I am just so ready to step on the scale and see a loss again though!  Good luck!

Please don't get discouraged!  It's a marathon, not a sprint.   Keep your eye on the prize, and congratulate yourself on your success so far!

Kerry, don't get discouraged my sleeve sister, you have company there with you, I have not lost in like 3 days in fact I gained a pound today! oh well we just have to hang in there after all we are eating a fraction of what we were so that alone has got to do something, right. I here you about the monthly friend mine was horrible this month too, maybe because of the blood thinners. put the scales away for a while. and concentrate on how you feel, don't be a slave to those scales. it will get better, it has to.........hugs

I'm Still a work in progress, I wont give up the quest to reclaim my life, I will be whole again someday!

More than likely you have combination of the 3 week stall and fluctuations because of you monthly visitor. I tend to stall and/or gain around my T.O.M.  All I can say is hang in there, stick to your plan and you will see results.  Don't get discouraged you are only at the start of this roller coaster ride.

It's been one month today for me too.  My weight loss looks good, and I am VERY pleased with it, but 35 lbs. of it were from before surgery.  I had dropped 28 lbs. prior to my first date.  There was a 3 week lag before my actual surgery on 8/22, and I lost another 7 lbs in that time.  Since surgery, I've lost just under 17 lbs.  I guess we're all different.  Good luck!

Dont get discouraged! You are doing great! Mother Nature decided to visit me a few days ago.. Without fail, a day before she comes I put on 2 lbs, and get very very bloated! I know to expect this now. I have been shopping for jeans for a month, and havent found any that fit. For some reason, I decided today would be a great day to try again. FAIL! Nothing fit! The size 18s or the 20s. I couldnt get them up around my tummy! And I swear my ass is just as bloated. lol. I am working on not feeling discouraged! I think everyone is right.. You are dealing with Mother Nature and the dreaded 3 week stall. Keep your head up Girly!

DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED. YOU SHOULD NEVER WEIGHT WHEN YOU ARE HAVING YOUR CYCLE.  Take one day at a time. You will have ups and downs and stalls.  You have come this far. It is not an overnight transformation.  Before you know it 6 months will have passed and you will have dropped a bunch of weight.  I am at my 6 month mark.  Only weigh once a week at the same time in AM after you void for consistency.  Good Luck and keep on pushing through:)

girl! don't get down. you cant let the scale determine your accomplishments. you had enough courage to get this surgery and you've been living your new life a month now! thats great. plus your numbers look good. remember we dont wanna lose TOO fast cause then we'll have more saggy skin. i gained 3 pounds last week when i started on my cycle and my body held onto it for a week! i couldnt even get to my 1 month goal i had set for myself before my apt yesterday. BUT i was still proud of myself cause everyones telling me how great i look and my doctor and NUT were proud of me! i just lost a pound this morning and im hoping im losing the period weight now. im sure in a week youll see a huge difference in weight drop. dont get discouraged. ur doing great :-)
