HUGE NSV for me today!
Most of my in-laws had no idea that I had surgery to revise from my lap band, I just didn't care to tell them and I hardly ever see them anyway. The last time most of them saw me was shortly after I gave birth and I was up about 50 lbs from the weight I am today. We went to a family party with them today and they all just kind of stared at me open mouthed when I got out of the car LOL They told me they could not get over how fabulous I look (this is the smallest they have ever seen me) and where blown away by my loss.
It felt good b/c normally they ignore me, but they where super nice about my loss today, and I think that has made me like them just a BIT more (not making any promises that the feeling will last though LOL).

That is great, and I bet that made you feel really good. I am a little scared because I am supose to see my in-laws next summer, which by that time I will be 9 mo. post-op. I don't really have a desire to them them, but I am wondering how I am going to explain when it comes time to eat. If I don't eat much. Guess I will just have to wait and see. Glad it was a great day for you. Crissie
It's is sad that how people treat you when you are obese or severly obese and then how when you are starting to reach the normal BMI area. To me, it is like racism or embarassment to be seen with you. Anyways I will probably be like you to the ones that treated me that way and then get all nice when I do lose my weight again. My family is pretty good, most are overweight anyways and they live away so I don't need to worry about seeing them too often.
