I am trying to hang in there mentally but I gained back 4 pnds in the end of my second week :0( I havent been going to the bathroom so that might be why. But I saw another girl today who had her surgery around the same time and she lost so much more than me... I know everyone is different but It mad me feel a little bad. I was flowing down 15 pnds and all of a sudden..... up, up, up,up!!  My Dr. said I'm doing fine, take laxatives, drink more water, try to get more fiber.... SIGH!!!!!!!

It happens.  I lost 18 pounds in the first week and a half, then stalled.  It's normal.  Your body needs to stop and replenish your glycogen stores, which requires storing water as well.  You are still burning fat, but your body is storing water at the same rate.  Just hang in there!

Holy Hell!!! i was JUST about to post something like this.

I lost 15# since surgery on the 16th, and have been at the same weight for 5 days now.  I was wondering if it was possible to stall this soon out.  Im not bugged about it, I just know that a "stall" is your bodies reaction to having surgery.  It's the bodies time to repair itself then you can proceede forward.

But TBH, I'm glad I'm not the only one going through it, I was spazzing just a little =0)

I stalled 10 days out after losing 15 lbs. then didnt start losing until 2 weeks later.
I whined too...people say its normal...your body is healing and adjusting.
Just keep following the program and you will be fine.

You can stall at any time, and it is perfectly normal.  It is difficult to take, but have faith that it will even itself out.  Just be sure to stick like glue to your surgeon's eating and calorie plan.  Hang in there!
HW 263, 3lbs lost prior to surgery,  weight loss ticker is since surgery.

I lost 20 lbs in first 7 days, day 8 it said I gained 4 of it back and now I'm on day 21 and I'm still stalled!! And I'm hungry a lot lately (hoping that is just because I'm doing so much cardio and burning off too much calories for the little amount I take in). I'm hoping this stall breaks soon...normally last 2-3 weeks is what I've heard. It sucks, I know...hang in there

hang in there. your body is adjusting. you just had major surgery.
this is a good opportunity to learn about acceptance and you will understand
that you may go through this adjustment period monthly or bi monthly.
everyone is different. please hang in there....  this will pass.  also this might last
a couple of weeks.  keep talking about it.....  this is a must for your head to adjust to.
its part of your journey and you are not alone.
