Yippee!! One-Month Followup Today!
I went to see my surgeon today for the one-month followup. I am down 22 pounds since surgery and I feel so so good. I can't *imagine* losing 22 pounds in a month, and I know some of you are losing much more!!

I am healing up great, even the troublesome incision where the drain was. He is pushing me on to more vigorous, aerobic activity - need to step up the walking. He said to stay the course with my program, and relax a little bit!
I weigh 241 today - less than I did when I graduated high school! My dream goal for my three-month followup would be 200 pounds. That would mean 22 pounds a month each following month, so might be unrealistic. But a girl can dream!
I have been going out to eat a lot for work, with clients, and I think I underestimated how much people would notice what I was (not) eating. Oh well!! It's a very exciting ride!
I think I've run out of exclamation points...
I cant wait to see what my surgeon has to say when I see him in November for my 3 month f/u.

PS: the first month you lose the most. the 2nd month and so on the average is about 6 to 11 or 12 pounds a month. Really averaging at about 10 honestly. However I have seen a girl here that works her tail off and she lost 15 pounds on average a month. but she works it.
Please dont have too much expecation on yourself... you will lose the weight, just dont pressure as to when. you will get there I promise, as long as you follow food plan

' ONE YEAR SURGIVERSARY!!!"
Two Year Surgiversary!!!"
Yes! Very happy and proud. This is something we would do with our younger daughter when she was in elementary school. Every day, my partner would do "Happy and Proud" at bedtime. She had to tell one thing that happened that day that made her happy, and one thing that made her proud. We STILL do "Happy and Proud" when we get together and she is 25! So this is my Happy and Proud for the day!!

You are doing super! Keep up the good work, and keep us posted on your progress!!
( Love the story about your daughter. I do something similar with my kids. I'm sure that is something that they will hold dear to their hearts as long as they live! )That special thing that only mom did with them.
