May Sleevers Checking In!
Hey everyone! Nothing really new to share, but I wanted to hear from everyone else to know how you guys are all doing!
I recently gave away all of my big pre-op clothing as I will never have any more need for them (I'm currently about a size M/L or 14 in jeans and my old clothes were 20-22) and thankfully had some smaller stuff from before I gained all the weight... but I'm noticing that I'm going to have to take another trip to Good Will to get some more sweaters or something-- I've been absolutely freezing lately and I used to totally have a love affair with the AC unit. The only time it gets dire is when my fiance comes over and it's a bit humid in my apartment... I turn on the window unit to try to clear up some of the humidity in the bedroom so that he's not sweating when we sleep, but then I end up with blue lips and chattering teeth!
How is everyone else doing?

Doing great here!! I had my surgery on May 18th 2011. I started out at 264 at my first consultation in March/April time frame and weighed in at 169 this weekend. I only have 44 more pounds to go!! This has been such a life changing experience. Like I have heard many others say..best thing I have ever done. It is nice to use the weight tracker so I can go back and see where I was in the months prior. I am the same clothing size basically as crunchy..my work pants are a 12 proly should be a 10..and my jeans are 14 borderline 12 and my shirts are mainly medium some large. I also get lots of compliments now and questions on my big weight loss. I remember when I had almost 140 pnds to lose and I can't believe it is down to 44!! I have found what works in my belly and I eat basically the same thing everyday but switch up dinner depending on what my family has. I am able to go out to eat basically anywhere and find something I can modify to work for me. Hope everyone else is doing great to and I can't wait to read other's stories!!!
I was sleeved on 5/23, cleared for regular foods at the end of August and fell off the wagon a bit in having stuff I know I shouldn't... I'd been so super strict with myself since January of last year while investigating and then prepping for surgery that I needed to cut loose a bit. While I haven't gained anything (a godsend!), I have been stalled since straying off the program.
I'm back on the ball now though -- I tossed out my leftover birthday cake and ice cream this morning -- and lost 2lbs since getting my ducks back in a row :). I just have to keep reminding myself that it's not like I can never have x, y or z, I just can't have it now... once I hit the maintenance period, I can start adding stuff back in here and there as a treat. Just not now.

I had my surgery on May 18. I began this journey in Jan at 291lbs the day of surgery I weighed 275lbs today the scale said 225lbs. I feel GREAT!! I also need to go to goodwill and get some long sleeve shirts. LOL I have 3 pair of LEE jeans that I bought cheap while camping in Lancaster PA. Thats all I have in pants. I also had to get measured for a new bra size while I was there. I went down 6 inches and 2 cups sizes! I could use losing weight in stomach and butt area instead. Keep up the good work everyone!
