Some of yall have been pretty quite around here lately! How are yall doing?

Food- Are you eating yet? I am eating soft protein and just now starting to get in about 600 calories a day- give or take a few. Protein is still lacking but since I started eating, I can generally get about 45-50-which is better than what it was.

Stalls/Gains/Loss-I think I might be headed towards my stall since the scale said that I GAINED a pound this morning. I am NOT going to let it stress me though. There is no possible way I can gain..I mean really gain...so why worry!

Exercise- eh, I so need to get on the ball. I know I do. I've done some walking and that is it. I have to get over the hurdle of being embarrased to be in a public gym or something. My apartment has a gym, but last time I went there was two beefy guys, and then fat Paige. Made me feel really weird. I really want to get a little smaller and take Yoga. Always been very interested and did a free class or two and loved it.

NSV- You know I am just seeing a change overall in myself. Clothes (that are a size smaller) fit better than my old clothes. My stomach is not as big/bloated/swollen. Hubby says he can tell a major difference in my face/neck/shoulders. I can tell a difference in the size of my legs when I shave ;) I was like hey, was that one less stroke I made haha!

Anyway- Interested in hearing how all of you are progressing!

I am 1 month out today, and overall everything seems to be going well. I feel that I am losing too slow or maybe in a stall as well, of course my calories are still just around 500, but I am going to start trying to push that up a little, most days I get in 60 to 70 grams of protein and I only get in 55-60 water, it is really hard for me, I've never been a big drinker, lol! I have no regrets about having the revision at this point and can see small changes in my clothing as well. Good luck to everyone!!

Hey doll, I am doing much better now, It took about 3.5-4 (ill be 4 weeks post op on tuesday) to feel human again... (funny im sure i was told that by someone (or 40 people) on here, ha ha) anywho here is how im doing...

Food: Im just moving onto soft foods and its going slowly.. so far soups and oatmeal have been my favs, refried beans too, Im SOOO not doing good protein wise, but im slowly building it up. Ive tried eggs twice but both times they didnt go over well..

Stalls/Gains/Loss: im at a stall but its only cause i need to start excersizing, and i know once i do the weight loss will start moving again, ive lost 35 so far which puts me at 195, the "smallest" ive been in over 11 years

NSV: ive had several, my tummy feels so much smaller and my clothes are fitting much better.

Well, I will be two weeks on Monday.
I am have a hard time getting my protein goal in. The water intake is getting better everday. I have finally hit about 50 ozs. I have lost 19 pounds so far since my surgery I have started walking a few miles everyday the last few days. I do notice I tire easy but, I think that is do to the new BP's meds (my BP went super high after surgery and now it is super low) I will find out on Monday when I go for all my post-op appointments.

Well I entered my mushie stage today, had a boiled egg for breakfast, tuna for lunch with a bit of mayo in it. So far so good but I can't believe I can't eat a whole can of tuna. WOW. Oh well I divided it in half for 1/4 cup, tiny bites and pureed it with my teeth since it is pretty mushie anyways coming out of the can and I have to learn how to chew chew chew. I see what they mean by feeling full and slowing down, not in pain but feel a lump down there.

Crystal here! My one-month surgiversary was yesterday. 32 lbs gone & 5" off my waist.

Food- I've been eating mushies for a few weeks and dense proteins for about a week. I'm not counting calories or carbs (my program says they don't want us to, which I personally like because I'm not one to be a slave to a calculator) but I drink enough fluids and I eat a small amount of chicken or fish and a little cheese each day. Even though I'm not counting, I do avoid simple carbs and high-fat foods. I drink my 3 protein shakes (23g each) a day, too. I figure most of my calories are coming from the shakes, at this point. I faithfully take my vitamin & calcium supplements each day, plus probiotics.

Stalls/Gains/Loss- I had about a week where I didn't lose, but then it started again. I'm grateful that all you vets warned me about the three-week stall, so I didn't worry when it happened. I've lost 32 lbs total, 26 of it since surgery; the other 6 when I had the flu in August.

Exercise- I've been walking a little since right after coming home from the hospital, but I can't walk too much because of my constant back pain. The surgeon hasn't let me go back on my daily NSAIDs. Yesterday I went back to the gym for the first time.

NSV- I went back to my old office (I was laid off in May) this week for the first time since surgery, and everyone gathered around to tell me how good I looked. Only a couple of them know about my surgery, but they all noticed the weight loss. That felt good.

It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.

I'll be two weeks out on Monday.

Food - still on liquids!  Hopefully, I'll be transitioned to purees starting on the 12th.  My surgeon has a very conservative plan for advancing the diet.  I'm getting about 55-60 gms of protein/day; I want to get more like 60-70 though.  No problems getting my liquids in.  Counting my protein drinks, I'm doing 70-80 ozs/day.  Usually in the vicinity of 300-400 calories/day.

Loss - I've lost 17 lbs now (14 since surgery), and I am enjoying this fast losing while it lasts!  It is getting me through the liquid phase!

Exercise - My surgeon doesn't want us to start a formal exercise program until about 6 wks out, and says to spend the first two weeks resting and healing, but encourages walking.  This weekend I'm starting our Metroparks Fall Hiking Spree with my mom, as there are lots of trails that are short and relatively flat.  I plan on walking a mile each day for the next week, and bumping up the distance from there on out.

NSV - I had my first one this morning.  I put on some warm up pants fresh out of the dryer and noticed they were looser than the last time I wore them, pre-op!  So I tried on three pairs of jeans that I specifically knew were really tight pre-op, and they ALL fit better.  That was a good way to start the day!  My husband says he thinks my face looks thinner.

Another NSV has been my ability to talk myself out of cheating on the plan.  Every time I want to put something non-liquid in my mouth and I don't, I'm proud of myself!

5'9" All weight lost post-op. Goal weight determined by body composition testing.

I am excellent; how about you?

I am on mushed and it is quite a transition. I try things here and there but love my soups and protein shakes (safety net). Haven't found anythng that disagrees w/me yet. I have had a stall (knock on wood) and, as of Thursday, I was down 30 lbs. I haven't done any major or serious exercise and not on a regular basis. However, enjoying life, running around and dancing may count.

I have too many wonderful experiences and changes to list off. It seems like every day I am noticing something that I can do either well, better or that I couldn't do before. This is the best decision I ever made and I have no regrets.

I hope you feel the same. Keep up the good work,

Hey! I'm doing okay.

Food- doing mushies, get about 650 calories a day, 60 to 70 g protein

Stalls/Loss - so far 33lbs since pre-op liquids, 18 since surgery. Have been stalled for a week and a half.

NSV- wearing pants two sizes smaller, and shirts one size smaller. The inches are definitley being lost. Up to 3.5 miles walking each day, which i haven't been able to do for a few years.

So overall okay, just waiting for the stall to break.

Kendall here! i was 6 weeks out on monday.

Food- i can eat pretty much what i want. i'm eating mostly meats and cheeses and nuts. ive picked up a craving for pickles. i have been trying new foods every day. i had a salad for the first time and it hurt my stomach a little bit. thank god my tool does what i need it to do, because i only have to take 2 or 3 bites of anything to be full!

Stalls/Gains/Loss- i have lost 46 pounds. i have been in a stall for 2 weeks and im afraid im in the dreaded 3 week stall. i cant take another week of this! im exercising (at curves) 3-4 times a week. so im sure im gaining muscle. i hope to break this stall and start losing again

Exercise- i started going 3-4 times a week to curves, which is a women's gym to work out. since i started working out, ive hit a stall. idk if thats just coincidence. but i'm getting in enough exercise

NSV- seatbelts fit me now in any car i get in. its easier to shave/tie shoes, im down a pants size, my stomach feels so much smaller, my legs are a lot smaller, i can walk distances and exercise without getting so tired and out of breath

i hope everyone else is doing great. good luck!
