It's fun.  I was worried the first time too.  I just stayed towards the back in case I needed to bow out.  There was only one song that I was so uncoordinated I just marched in place!  but I wasn't the only one.  I hope you have a blast.

Report back to us how you like it. I am so addicted to it myself now. Be prepared to not really like it for a month or so, just because it is so dang hard. I was exhausted the first month and would go home and collapse in my chair for most of the day. No one looks at you, so all you have to do is wave your arms around if you get tired. The object is to keep moving, so fake it if you have to (LOL). I have made new friends there too--young guys and old guys--we are all one in Zumba. Zumba is as important to me now as breathing. Be sure and google "youtube Zumba" and watch all the fab videos on it. They will get you going. Good luck and have fun.

I miss my Zumba! My company offered free classes, but the instructor injured her knee and had to have surgery, so no Zumba for 8 months! I haven't found one that had hours that work for me, so I switched to another type of exercise in the meantime.

Helpful hint: Get some sneakers with not too much traction so that it's easier to move around. You may get hurt changing directions if your sneakers grip the floor too well.

Good point!  I hadn't even thought about what shoes to wear.  I'll have to give this some thought...

i'm very inspired that you had surgery exactly 1 month before i did and you have enough energy to exercise like that!  right now i can't even walk through a store for an hour let alone do high energy stuff.

congratulations!  have fun!
