alright help me with this weight loss please....
You may just endup being a stair-step loser; meaning you will lose quite a few lbs and then taper off to a much slower loss for a few weeks, and then drop a big number again. We all lose differently and so much of the process is figuring out how your body works so you dont waste time and energy being upset over something that is out of your control. There are quite a few vets on here though that talk about their weight loss journey being in that stair-step patern.
Hang in there!

As long as you are putting in the work of eating right and exercising, the only other thing that needs to get gets calculated in is the TIME factor!!!!!!
You must put in the TIME! And the further out from surgery is when the weight loss "averages" out to be a loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week. (which is completely normal)
6 months from your surgery date, it's a guarantee that you will be much, much lighter than when you started this journey!
Try not to be so hard on yourself with the day to day and week to week scale numbers.
Even the people on the biggest loser, who work out 8 to 12 hours a day and do a strict diet, experience stalls or low weight loss numbers week to week, But, the prize is what they weigh in at, in 6 months or more!!!
It will happen for you, and for everyone who puts in the WORK and TIME!!!!! (Rome wasn't built in a day!)
Good Luck!

I think you are doing GREAT! You even have all your food planned out and set- which is more than I can say for myself most days!
I know I have lost quite a bit- but I was way heavier than you to start, and I have days where I don't lose anything for 3-5 days, then BAM, it's like 2 lbs, then 1.5 the next day- really just odd. The only thing I have tied in is excersize. For some reason I seem to "freeze" at the same weight if I don't work out. so that has motivated me to keep working out. Maybe water retention or? but everytime I have lost weight I have to work out hard or it seems to be stubborny stuck to me until I shake it off.
I also still have a prob with getting protein but just went to Costco and bought those premier ready made shakes everyone seems to love. Haven't tried yet but this afternoon I'll give them a go. Keep it up girly! You are doing a great job and are definitely "on top" of things in term of your plan. :)

Paige, I had my surgery a day after you and I have the exact thing going on. I lost 3 lbs after my thanks giving weekend and then TOM came and went and I gained 2 lbs then I am back down 1 lb after losing the 2 that I gained. So 4 pounds in two weeks BUMMER. But I didn't hit the 3 week stall so I am guessing that is what is going on. I lost the pound about a week ago and still the scales won't move. I am not upset about it because I know I am still in starvation mode and exercising daily, even though it is walking.
I guess we just have to wait it out and I think we have the exact same weight loss so far
Keep me updated in when your weight starts rolling again, was really hoping to get 20 lbs off in my second month but I am at a stand still and it is not doing a thing lol.

I't frustrating for sure. I don't think you are doing anything wrong, may be a little more exercise and protien... But nothing drastic.
I decided to do the following:
1. I bought a decent scale. Mine was analog and I had to guess my weight between the lines which represented 5lb increments. The new scale weighs 7lbs higer then the older one. Ug
2. I am writing everything down in Myfitnesspal.com
3. I struggle with getting enough fluids. I'm typically a glass or two short everyday so I have been concentrating on that recently.
4. I started measuring. Thats' going in myfitness pal too.
5. I'm trying to stay off the scale and only weigh in once a week not their yet...
6. I'm not going to worry about it unless my weekly weights arn't trending down
7. I'm working on increasing my exercise. Shooting for four days a week 30 minutes on the eliptical trainer. Right now, I am good for three days a week.
8. If in 2 weeks I still feel the pace is slow, I'm going to start tweaking my carbs. I'm usually between 40 and 60 a day with between 75 and 85 grams of protien a day and between 650 and 800 calories a day.
Hang in there, this is all part of the post op learning curve...
