I know when I was getting my surgery I was curious of how the single incision looked and there were not many pictures available here so I wanted to share.

This is my single incision sleeve two days post op and now, almost 6 weeks out. It is still purple (due to my coloring) and sort of lumpy, but I have faith it will look better in the months to come. Not thrilled my my doctors unsteady hand lol.....and the one side heading in another direction- but hey....it will all be better than fat right?

I do have one little spot up top you can see on the "then" picture. It is where they moved my liver out of the way. Now it is not even picture worthy..it looks like a pimple scar or something. Its soooo tiny!

How were you able to get them to do this kind of incision or did they just do it? I would think this is better by the belly button then having five scars all over your stomach!

it is a tool/ technic that only some doctors have access to. It was featured on the doctors, and you can see that episode by youtubing "spider sleeve"

Very cool... I don't mind the 5 scars they are very small and will continue to diminish over time. That is great that you had the option for the spider! congrats on your weight loss so far!

Super cool that you were able to do this!  I approached my surgeon about it, because he offers it, and I was not a candidate.

The official medical title is single incision laproscopic surgery.  It is available for lots of procedures, not just the sleeve.  There are specific things the surgeon has to do to determine if you are a good candidate.  I wasn't because of a previous horrific abdominal surgery that could've had lots of scar tissue.
