Nothing to be ashamed about in my opinion we are only human and there is nothing wrong with an occasional "forbidden" snack! I feel that we have this tool now and it works for us but I for one do not plan on going on the rest of my life without an occasional treat we all deserve it now and then. I do however, need to put a little kit together myself I am only 3 weeks out and just now starting different foods and so far things are going good but I do get hungry alot more then I thought but I am only eating less than a baby at this point so I need to have some protein items in my purse but not sure what right now, peanuts seem like a good idea but I haven't tried them yet. Again don't beat yourself up this is the only life we have and we deserve a treat now and then!
Dont feel so ashamed , it happens to all of us. Ive had days where ive messed up but i know that i am only human and mistakes will happen. At least your not the person thats eating bad things all the time and wonder why they dont lose weight. Smile and keep your head up! Looking at your ticker, you've done awesome! Congrats

Maybe you do need to watch carb counts if you're struggling with them. Remember recommendations are just that recommendations, they aren't set in stone, and you can always rework the "recommendation" to fit you, and your needs. Not only physical needs, but mental and emotional needs.

First, since you know this is a problem, start by forgiving yourself and rather than beating yourself up make a plan to avoid this in the future.
abc brown is dead on: if you have sleeve friendly foods available, even if what you're craving is potato chips you will be better able to make a good choice. Make sure they're high protein, non-slider foods.
The most important thing is to stop, say "whoops", make a plan to avoid having this spiral into a return of bad habits and move on.

I just did this, with Max & Erma's chocolate chip cookies. Useless calories, I thought I could eat just one and did that night but the family did not polish off the batch and I eat another 1.5 before breakfast the next day. I have been fighting the carb/hunger thing all day and wished I had never had that first cookie. The rest of the day was perfect, eat six small meals, my carb/cals and protien were all right in line so leason learned!

you guys are soooooooooooo great!!!! your support and ideas have really given my some concrete ideas of how to prevent this in the future. i think having a survival kit in the car at all times is brilliant and i know that the beef jerky satisfies my salty craving.
this place is such a great support. it's been almost 9 moths and i still stumble like we all do -- it's good to remember that it's not a tumble down a steep flight of stairs i'll never get back up.
