Obession with upcoming Surgery

Oh my god thank you!!!! My surgery is dec 2nd and i am doing the same thing.I thought that i was going crazy. I can not wait till i get home from work to read all the posts. I am so thankful for all the people that post here.

I'm so happy I'm not the only one! My surgery is this Friday, and I leave tomorrow for Mexico! All I do lately is go on this site! I think I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for what I'll be going through! This is my biggest decision aside from getting married and having babies! I am driving my husband crazy though because I'm always on our iPad! Lol

Same here! my surgery isnt until Dec 28th!! but its so close really because time flies. ive obsessed about things before and pushed friends away and such. I have a 5 year old that keeps me occupied so i try not to look to much.

Wow.....guess we are all feeling the same way! I haven't been approved yet, but have a tenative date of 1/10/12. Sometimes I think it's too much time. Some posts scare the bejesus out of me, and I say to myself "what the he'll am I doing". Then the other voice in my head tells me I can do it, and it will all be worth it. I just don't want to obsess anymore, and just get it done! We will all lift up each other

I'm so happy that I am not the only person who feels this way. This site has been a HUGE help for me. I love looking at the pictures of people and I also love to hear the good, the bad, and the UGGGGGGGLY!

Thank you all who have responded so far... I can't tell you have great it feels to know that there are others out there who feel just like me. I take comfort in knowing.. I AM NOT ALONE.

Add me to the list of obsessed. I too am driving my family crazy. I have not been approved as of yet. However my Dr. is very confident i will. I am scheduled for an endoscope on the 11Th and then my packet will be submitted. I find it hard to believe that any of you are on here as much as I am, and until I read this post i was starting to worry about myself (lol). I am so excited , I can't Waite to Begin this life changing journey.

Me too!!!  I have a surgery date of 11/30 and have been on here since March and I'm still on here everyday just to see how people are coping and for more and more information..  Can never have enough.  I do more listening than talking but I love to read everyones comments.  So I believe this is a great addiction and I'm glad we're all here.

 No help here.  I'm the same way and I don't even have a surgery date (hopefully will get mine the 17th).  Try not to bore the people around you to tears.  I've found a "surgery buddy" who I can talk to till I'm blue in the face so I don't drive my poor husband or other friends nutters.

I hang out here like it's my second job - how I wish I could get paid for it! - and you can all see I've been here since Jesus was a carpenter! But not all the time. I got real last Sept. when I found out I had type II diabetes. Kicking that ***** to the curb!
