Body Fortress Protein Powder
So when I started this journey I was all into getting my supplies and being prepared for the post op life. I was shopping for protein powders, broth, and etc. So I searched and it looks like the protein powder i've been using is 100% whey protein but contains creatinine. Apparently, creatinine is used for muscle mass/ body building. Could this be causing a stall in my weightloss? I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks and that loss was immediately after leaving the hospital and I'm sure it was all IV fluid. Totally depressed.
Possibly but I don't think so. You are probably not using enough for it to actually produce a stall because we can eat and sometimes drink so little.
I'm sorry about the stall--I'm on my 2nd or 3rd one and they suck! I don't know your weight but keep in mind that those with less to lose normally lose a lot slower. Even with that being said, followup w/your doctor or NUT to see what they would suggest. There are so many different theories on how to break your stall but we are continual works in progress and every body is unique.
Best of luck to you; I know how frustrating stalls are when you are in the position where you hardly eat anything and the lbs just aren't dropping! But stick with it--eventually you will be a "loser".

You're just experiencing that run of the mill stall, is all. ;-) They drive us all crazy, just get used to them. While the scale is not moving, your body is-- so remember to measure. It makes you feel better to know SOMETHING is changing!
I use that Body Fortress in everything that I can mix it in, including SF pudding, pancakes for my mom, gravies, and good ol' protein drinks. I add a SF flavor, (I used vanilla mix), a banana or other fruit, a shot of milk and chipped ice and make a kick ass milkshake!! Makes you feel like you're cheating!

I use 3 scoops of Body Fortress a day (2 shakes at 1.5 scoops each). I've used it almost exclusively since another OHer sent me some when my husband lost his job in July and it doesn't seem to have stalled me. I've lost almost 12 lbs a month on average since then.
It's a great protein value.
I do want to make sure, however, that you are using this one, which is a protein supplement that contains a little creatine: http://www.bodyfortress.com/SUPER-ADVANCED-WHEY-PROTEIN-CHOC OLATE and not this one: http://www.bodyfortress.com/SUPER-ADVANCED-CREATINE-HP
