C25K? Anyone? Starting Monday......

I have see a couple of posts on this here, but nothing consistant from those who are doing it. For the last week I have walked my 3.5 mile mapped out route and today I did a test run on the C25K week one to make sure I would not run into any issues once I started on Monday.

I have to say, it was hard but I felt GREAT when I was done. Anyone want to try it out with me on Monday? I will post a daily thread if anyone is interrested. I love the motivation and support from others that I have been getting at MFP and want to offer it here to anyone who is interrested too!

I have downloaded Poddrunner Intravals onto my Ipod and it's was a great way to keep me on track and to let me know when I was supposed to move from walking to running!

The Couch to 5K is a 9 week program that is supposed to help you get from not running at all to being able to run a 5k. It has intervals of walking/running that start out slow in the first week and then increase over time until your endurance is high enough to run the whole thing!

I've been thinking about it.  Hmmm...  maybe I can start this week.  I was going to wait for a while, but there's no time like the present, I guess.

I would do mine on Tuesday, Thursday and one weekend day.

I'm about to start week 4 and have really loved it!  I'm using the program at coolrunning.  In the past my feet and ankles always started to hurt, but I'm so much lighter this time that I've had no problems at all (knock on wood).

I was going to start this week but never did, and I leave for my monthly work travel tomorrow, but I planned on using the hotel gym, If I can get a treadmill I'll start tomorrow, If not I'll definitely jump on board with you Friday when I get home from my travel.

I signed up for a 5k on Thanksgiving morning, its called the Turkey trot, I'd love to be able to jog a little of it.

I know that "C25K" stands for couch to 5 k but don't know how it works or what's involved.  If you can fill me in a little bit I would know if I'm up to it or not.
