May Sleevers Checking In!
How is everyone doing?
Initially I was afraid of hitting the 6 month mark and thought that something disappointing would magically occur... but nothing did. Instead, I started losing again after being on a stall/adjustment period for a month or so, and that gave me the boost to get back to the gym and start running again. Since that point two weeks ago, I've signed up for a 5 mile race and have been hiting the gym as often as my schedule permits.
I feel good physically, somewhat exhausted mentally, and having a bit of body image issues-- I know I'm smaller than I was logically, I can see that I'm wearing size M/L clothing from a 20/22, but when I look in the mirror I still see a fat person a lot of the time. Maybe part of it is because I'm not done losing weight and still have 35ish pounds to go... maybe because my brain demons are attacking my success and it's time to go back to the therapist.
I think it's the latter. Anyhow, other than that I'm doing well. How are you all doing?

Hey crunchy! Good on you! You are doing an amazing job! I am doing really well too: I'm down to 177lbs and a size 12/M. I cannot believe I've lost over 100lbs since my pre-op class in April (btw, i want one of those gold card things to put in my signature, help please!)-I've never been this small in my life, so it's a total mind game. I find that I am having socially awkward moments, especially around guys, because I still envision myself as the big girl when others now see me as a "normie". I'm hoping that will change as I get closer to goal (I'm hoping to lose another 35lbs or so) and as I approach the maintenance phase. I'm keeping to my plan for the most part: I still drink shakes (I am addicted to EAS Carb Advantage in Cafe Caramel) and get most of my protein from dairy (Greek yogurt, cheese, skim plus milk) and meats (I'm all about lamb rib chops these days; just the right size and super easy to co.ok). I exercise 5d/week. Take my vitamins (b12, centrum chew, calcium citrate) and a protonix once every 3 days or so. Long story short: I'm happier and healthier , and I can't wait to reach goal. Keep posting may sleevers!
I'm doing well, too. Weight loss is definitely slower, but I don't stress about -- it just it just means that I am closer to goal.
I still need to be diligent about getting my fluids in; it is always a struggle. I try to drink as much as I can during the mornings and afternoons as I find I really don't want anything to drink in the evenings.
Since I don't eat meat, I get my protein from soft sources and will likely always have at least one protein shake a day.
I'm wearing a large top and some very baggy 14 jeans. I'm waiting to buy more clothes until my latest ones are falling off. I bought a few pairs of cute jeans in size 16 that I was only able to wear a few times before they got too big!

Doing great! Just posted my progress pic yesterday.
Down from 24/26 jeans to size 14, and 4X shirts to XL-XXL (my bust size hasn't gone down as much as I thought, the girls make fitting into shirts very frustrating!). I also feel like a "big girl" most of the time and am trying to work on seeing the real me.
Hoping to keep losing well over the next several months, as I still have another 43 lbs. to go.
Great job to you previous posters, I'm so impressed!!!!!

Doing well as well (seems May was a successful month!) Still loosing, down 99 pounds and at 100 I will be in the overweight category! Whoo hoo. Last week I weighed less then my husband for the first time ever. When we met I was in the 180's and he was in the 170's. Now I'm at 186 and he's at 187 - seems silly but it makes me happy. Loving to shop shop shop - clothes are so much cuter and cheaper in the thinner sizes! I went from a 24 to a loose 16. My thighs are still huge, otherwise I think I could fit in smaller pants. Shirts from a 2X to a L or M.
Hi everyone...thanks for sharing! :)
Well, I had wanted to hit goal weight by the 6 month mark, which didn't happen....but I'm darn close...just 5 lbs away....today I hit the 100 pound loss from my highest weight pre-op...I've lost about 70 lbs post op and 30 lbs pre-op. The losses seem exceedingly slow now for the work I'm putting in lately...but to be expected, I guess. I am pretty sure I'll need to lose more than 5 lbs (my original weight goal of 140) to get my body fat % where I want it at...mine is 33% and I'd like to see it at 25%.
I feel great physically...mentally is always still a battle....I try not to look at the flaws and accept my body, but I'm really wishing for money to do plastic surgery once my weight stabilizes....
I'm back to working out 5-6x weekly. One hour cardio 3x, weight training 2x.
I've gone from size 24 pants to size 8 or mediums.
I've gone from size 2X tops to size XS.
I can eat a lot more in volume now, if I try to....so I started tracking again a couple weeks ago to make sure that I don't go overboard in calories daily...and I found out my protein numbers are not as high as they should be.....
I struggle too with the water and fluids...I'm just never thirsty except the middle of the night..it is like it catches up to me....but I continue to try to sip throughout the day.
