Are you guys using milk or water in protein shakes?
Just in general... Is this a good idea...
1 pint of ff milk
and
2 scoops of BodyFortress Whey PRotein
Totaling
36g carbs
and
52g protein
-VS-
1 pint of water
and
2 scoops of Body Fortress Whey Protein
Totaling
10g carbs
and
52g protein
Cant drink it with water it's uber gross but if it's absolutely imperative then I guess I can.

While I was losing weight, my food plan limited carbs to 40 grams a day, protein to 70 grams a day and calories between 600 and 800 a day. I never used milk with my protein drinks since I wanted to follow my surgeon guidelines to lose weight as quickly as possible.
Eventually you will get tired of a limited diet, so you might as well try to lose as quickly as possible to get to goal. Then while in maintenance, you can add calories and carbs. That worked well for me.

Depends on if I'm running over or under on carbs, and taste (some brands of protein powder taste way too sweet when mixed with milk). If you mix with water it counts towards fluids intake, mix with milk it adds to protein intake (and carb intake)-at your stage it's really crucial to get in protein and fluids, so tough call. Personally, I'd say mix with milk if it tastes better to you but just take the added carbs into account. I'll let some vet chime in....but congrats on 49lbs lost!! Keep rocking the sleeve!
