Surgery on Wednesday and very scared!
I have booked my surgery for this Wednesday 7 December and Im now on the clear liquid phase. Im so nervous about the surgery and the fact that it cant be reversed.
Does anyone regret having the surgery?
Can anyone give me any insights on what to expect or any tips or pointers. Am I doing the right thing?
So, my only regret is that I didn't do something this radical 30 years ago.
It is natural to be scared, but be more scared of what years of obesity could do to you.
Follow your surgeon's guidelines to a tee, and as soon as you are able, walk walk walk and sip sip sip. Keep a sippy cup of water / tea / Crystal Light, etc. going in your mouth constantly post-op.
Best wishes, dear :-) You will be just fine!

Hi, please don't be worried. You are making the best decision for yourself and the rest of your life.
Listen to the wise words of Dorothy, she is a sound voice on this forum and I totally agree with her......obesity is far more scary and dangerous than the fear of this surgery.
I too have no regrets, not one. I feel better than I have in years! I am 46 and I have a 10 year old son and a two year old daughter and I am more active than ever and that makes me so happy for my children.
Surgery was so much easier than I ever thought and my recovery was quick. As Dorothy also stated....follow your Dr.s instructions and stay on plan and you will be on your way to a new and healthier you....with no regrets!!!
