If I don't drink a protein shake everyday I don't lose any weight. Does this seem possible its th only correlation I can make between my daily activities and eating habits. Does anyone else experience this?

Yep. I have a TINY tummy and need about 90 grams of protein a day to lose weight well (I'm a tall and strongly built woman, lots of lean mass). No way I can do it with food, and even trying seems a real hassle.

I drink 2 protein shakes a day at 7 1/2 months. Have had folks ask me how/why I do it, and the simple answer is that it would take me 6 meals to eat the same amount of protein at less than 2 ozs and that's too much hassle.

Luckily, I like my protien shakes. A lot. And when I've drunk them I do feel as if I've eaten. So it works for me.

There are some guidelines that I think help almost everyone, but some of the rest is figuring out what works for your individual body. For example, some people say peanut butter stalls them, whereas I can eat it with no problem (in moderation!). Same with beef jerky - stalls some people, no problem for others. Some people find protein shakes easy to get their protein, some would rather find a way to eat it.

If it's working for you - go with it!

I love the iso sensation cookies and creme, it is the only one I like mixed with milk. It is sweet but only one I can tolerate.

I use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey. $14.98 for 2 lb at Walmart. Chocolate is my favorite, with a little cocoa powder added and sometimes a few drops of peppermint.

I can't drink milk based protein very often so I use fuzzy navel Nectar mixed with orange crystal lite. They have 13 flavors and you can get a sample of all of them for $13. Click this link if you are interested

I HATED my protein drinks--too sweet.  I drink 2  28 oz. bottles of crystal lite cut with water and then add 1 scoop of unflavored unjury to each,  which gives me 40 grams of protein.  The rest I get in my food and I average 70-100 gms of protein per day.
Good luck!

I noticed that also, so I make sure to have my protein shakes
everyday.
