Oh protein...how do you do it?
I drink 2 protein shakes a day at 7 1/2 months. Have had folks ask me how/why I do it, and the simple answer is that it would take me 6 meals to eat the same amount of protein at less than 2 ozs and that's too much hassle.
Luckily, I like my protien shakes. A lot. And when I've drunk them I do feel as if I've eaten. So it works for me.
There are some guidelines that I think help almost everyone, but some of the rest is figuring out what works for your individual body. For example, some people say peanut butter stalls them, whereas I can eat it with no problem (in moderation!). Same with beef jerky - stalls some people, no problem for others. Some people find protein shakes easy to get their protein, some would rather find a way to eat it.
If it's working for you - go with it!
