I am in the hospital after the gastroscopy and guess what? Gastritis and a small ulcer just beside the pylorus. So.... No surgery in January. Have to have it treated first and checked again and then we can start planning. Well it is going to be in April then. Not the end of the world!

No, I saw him for a couple of minutes after only so we didn't get into causes. Yeah still off the cigs. So I have 4 mnths ahead of me and a ton of protein and vites. Maybe I should do the post op diet anyway? Join a gym, heal my invisible and asymptomatic ulcer, stay off cigs ... Maybe I can pretend I had surgery?

So sorry to read this as I knew you were getting very excited to be sleeved next month! I am, however, glad your doctor discovered these issues and you are able to correct them now. I also had a small ulcer prior to my surgery, but it did not push back the date as I had a 6-month waiting period anyway. You can use these next few months to get yourself in the best shape possible for surgery and I think your body will thank you for that afterwards! We're here for you!!
