Three-ish month update with pics
Day of Surgery:
3 months later:

I started in 26/28 clothes, and I just bought my first 18/20s!!!! I haven't been this size since college. Love my sleeve and life post-op. I still play the guessing game with what my sleeve will tolerate on any given day. Chicken sometimes is my best friend one day then my worst enemy the next. Wi**** would be one or the other.
My new favorite food is fondue! It's perfect b/c every one is eating small bites at a time, and there is so much conversation I don't feel awkward about not shoveling food in my mouth. Any other time I'm out with friends they tend to count my bites without thought. It no longer bothers me, I just laugh with them because one meal at a restaurant is easily 5 meals for me.
We're about to start the Christmas baking in our house and I have asked to be left out so that I am not tempted to nibble/graze. Hope every one is having a great holiday season!

Amy, you really look great! What a difference! What is the eating plan Dr. Macik has set up for you? I can't wait for the 3rd to get here, so I can finally start this process.
Protein first! Dr. Macik and the hospital will give you so much info on the eating plan. Read it and follow it! He stresses liquids post op and walking in the hospital. Once you continuously get your fluids in, then you start working on upping your protein intake. You will want to rush through the clear liquid and full liquid stages - don't do it! Be patient and follow the plan. It really works.
Once you get through the mushies, don't rush to try new foods. Your sleeve will have its own personality. Get to know it and be gentle to yourself! Protein first, and eventually you will have more room to add some veggies/fruit and then if you have room after that, have a bite of carbs. At 3 months out I am just getting in about a cup of food at a time, if that. I average between 600-800 calories a day and work out 5 times/week.
The key to my diet since mushies has been moisture! I have to be able to mu**** with a fork for it to be gentle on my sleeve.
Pre-op, be sure to ween yourself off carbonation and caffeine! It made post op easier in my mind. Pre-op I could have diet coke all day long and coffee until bedtime and still sleep without an issue. Post-op I can't have caffeine after lunch or I won't sleep at all.
The 3rd will be here before you know it!

You are doing a great job! Did you record your measurements? I have a diet journal and I track my measurements.
