Okay - so my sleeve was done about 7:15 this morning.  My surgeon does them outpatient.  I hurt! I've been up walking and getting fluids but I can't get the pressure to move.

They took some tissue from my liver to biopsy - and that makes me nervous.

Hints on making the pressure move?  It sucks - I can only sleep about an hour and it has to be flat on my back - boo!  I have been taking pain meds and anti-nausea stuff since I got home.

I knew I would be sore but this s*cks!

Outpatient?  Ouch......I'm not a doc but it makes no sense to me to not at least keep you over night.

Wow, you're surgeon is hardcore!  My gas didn't completely go away until I was 2 weeks out.  I'm nearly 3 weeks out and can only sleep on my back and right side :(
Everyone says walking helps the gas move.
Congrats on the surgery!

Oh gosh, I feel for you. I was in  6:00 am Wednesday morning until 8:00 pm Thursday. Take your pain meds, and the anti nausea. Try sitting at a 45 degree angle. That helped me a lot. If you are allowed take a Pepcid, too. I promise you it will pass. It too****il way late on Wednesday night for that pressure feeling to pass for me. Once it passed it was gone and didn't come back. Good luck, hon. You've got someone with you, right? If not can you get someone in to help you for the next day or so?

Oh sweetheart!! Pain meds, water and gas-x strips!!! Walk walk walk! And I want to kick your surgeon in the shin for not at least keeping you overnight!

I promise, it gets better. I woke up from surgery begging them to kill me or help me... It didn't get much better til about 3-4days!
