After my 7 month mark I threw up... ?!?
I don't know what happened... I follow the rules, I generally take my time, I weigh and measure my food and I wait to drink after eating...
But last night after lunch (pan seared tuna filet with lemon juice, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper, and roasted asparagus with the same seasonings) I was fine, then had a LF cheese stick for a snack a couple of hours later, and a half hour after that took one swallow of water with lemon and started to feel a horrible feeling in my chest/esophagus.
The feeling got worse from about 7:45pm until 9pm when I knew I'd need to throw up... by the time 10 o'clock rolled around I'd upchucked... a partially digested but somewhat solid piece of cheese stick.
Strange that this happened-- I haven't thrown up from anything other than having a migraine or being drunk in at least a decade, and I have never thrown up post-op. I just hope it doesn't happen again... gonna have to revisit taking my time again with eating to make sure I chew every bite, even if it is something like a soft piece of cheese.
Ok, signing off. I guess I just wanted to share a gross story and caution everyone newer-op than me to remember to chew chew chew when you eat or else you risk

That's how I felt until it happened. The actual act of vomitting wasn't the worst part-- it was the two hours leading up to it that I thought I could avoid it by pacing in the kitchen and rocking back and forth on the floor in front of the toilet.
The vomiting itself wasn't as bad as I'd thought it might be, and within a minute of being done, I felt like a human being again.

Ugh. I feel ya. Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere. I'm 14 mo. postop, I threw up the other day.
I wasn't paying attention as I was being way too social while I was eating and before I knew it, I ate too much. About 2 hrs later...I had a sip of water and had that "oh god, I'm gonna puke" feeling. and sure enough, yep.
At the same time, I was impressed that this sleeve does indeed have some capacity for food and beverage. :)

Sorry you blew chunks - literally. I hate throwing up more than just about anything.
My best friend is 18 mos and and she mentioned to me the other day to be mindful of my chew, chew, chewing. She said the Sleeve makes it easy to forget. She's had a couple of close calls even at over a year out.
LOL - and thanks for sharing a gross story.
