It's been a couple of crazy days (approval, pre-op plans, etc.)

I went to the dr. office yesterday to get my pre-op orders.  When I saw it all, I was flabergasted at how much I have to do. 

Fasting blood labs
Chest Xray
Gall bladder ultrasound
EKG
Upper endoscopy
Surgeon's nutrition class
Hospital's nutrition class
Surgeon appt

And all in 3 weeks!  I figured there was no way and that we'd have to push the surgery date back.

The "Bariatrick Patient Care Navigator" got it all scheduled super fast, so not only will I not be pushing the date back, but also I've asked them to make it sooner to accommodate my work schedule.  Not sure if they will, but it's worth a try. 

Once I've finalized my surgery date, I'll have to tell my boss.  Not sure why I'm nervous about it.  I guess embarassed is more accurate.  She's awesome.  She'd never shame me or be annoyed that I was taking time off.  But I guess she'll be the first person outside my circle of trust that I'll be telling.  Skeery. 

When you are up to your ass in alligators, it's difficult to remind yoursef that your initial objective was to drain the swamp!

Yea it is pretty crazy all of stuff that has to be done in just a short period of time. I seen my surgeon on the 12th and scheduled for VSG on the 31st. Been running around trying to get everything completed before the 31st. I have my final labs tomorrow and my Class on Thursday.

It will all be worth it after surgery. Keep my posted on how your doing
