My girlfriend met her husband on match.com.  The bottom line is that some will find great success and others will not.  You won't know until you try.  Good luck!!!

After i broke up with my ex-husband, i was serious about meeting someone. i tried yahoo and match. At the time, i met someone on match and we dated for about a year. he decided that he wanted to cheat on me and wound up breaking up. he later married her and they have nothing but problems now. after getting my heart broken, i put an ad on yahoo. i laid it all out on the line. first that i was a big girl. next that i wanted a long term relation leading to a wedding and kids. i was completely drunk when i did this, so everything in my heart came out. it paid off. i met my husband after he answered my ad. i was the first big girl he ever dated too. this was almost 12 years ago. feb 1 we will be married 9 years and we have a six year old daughter. he is my absolute other half.

I don't think it really matters which way you go only that you are putting yourself out there. i am sure that you will find someone.

i have 5 couples in my immediate circle of friends that all met each other on line. they are all married. some were eharmony and some were the neighborhood singles.

Good luck!!!

I met my husband through a dating service (not one of the ones you mentioned) and we're about to celebrate our tenth anniversary. A close friend met her husband on match dot com and they've been married for 3 years and are expcting their 2nd child.

Totally worth the effort of neanderthal weeding, btw. I'd do it all over again.

Game sites seem to be the meetin' place for my family.  My mom met my step-dad (of 9 years now) on pogo dot com playing of all things, hearts - the card game.  My son met his girlfriend of 1 1/2 years on RuneScape, another online game site.  Neither were actively looking... it just happened!  Maybe you need to play some games?

Personally, I met mine the old-fashioned way, back when computers were still dinosaurs, and unheard of in the home.
