I love that Briar Rose brought up "regain" in terms of what she's gotten back in her life.  I'm thinking all of us have horrible associations with the word "regain" and this is my campaign to rehabilitate it!!

I have regained:
   A life without chronic pain
A sense of myself as an athlete
Cute clothes (not just what fits and is not totally awful)
Enjoyment of pictures with me in them

Gained:  As a young woman, I thought I was fat even when I wasn't.  At 51, for the first time, I think I look great.  Thank you, sleeve!!!  Thank you Dr. L!!!

How about you????

I've re-gained:

A sense of myself
Hope
sassy-ness
pride in how I look
laughter when I see myself in the mirror !
A sense of strength that I haven't had in 30 years.
