Vitamins for VG

I am having revision surgery from LapBand to sleeve and want to know which vitamins are needed.

I can't speak for all...But am almost 4 years out and dont take any! And my blood work has always been good!

That's kinda what I thought and am glad to hear it!  I'm just not a big vitamin taker

Other than a multivitamin (which every doctor suggests) mine didn't suggest any other than Vitamin D but only because I am already deficient.

Yes, My family Doc prescribes 1000IU a day because we don't get it from the sun for 6 months out of the year..I try to remember to take them!...But, levels stay good!

Most docs typically specify vitamin B12, calcium citrate and vitamin D along with some sort of multivitamin to start with since we aren't eating enough to get by without supplements (B12 isn't absorbed well in our smaller stomachs, particularly when treated with acid reducers as we frequently are for a while; D is commonly deficient with the typical American diet.) As things progress and our diets broaden, the supplement regimen can be changed to fit the need.
