I love my fitbit. I have had mine since August. I accidently washed it and they sent me a new one within days. I try to beat my self and friends. Love it, will write more later. Driving and typing.. no good idea....

gah I have horrible insomnia and last night I literally laid in bed going over the pros/cons of the fit bit vs an HRM and decided that for what I want I am just going to get the damn fitbit (you have no idea, I read consumer reports about dog leashes, I don't like to spend my money on something that is going to break or suck).

Just ordered it, will buddy up as soon as it gets here!

Only complaint, they don't take paypal or Discover, so I had to ask the hubs for the Visa and now he is all up in my business

You can order from Amazon with free shipping, and I think they take those other forms of payment?

That's awesome that you decided!

Too late LOL I also found out that the freaking Best Buy literally two mins from my house has them, could have just picked it up today (would have required me getting out of my PJ's, but it would have been better then playing 20,000 questions with the hubs LOL).

Yeah, I haven't decided really, just put up a barter add for the Polar FT7, see if anyone bites. I might end up with both LOL

Oh and the thing that really put me over on the FitBit side is that it's rechargable, but the Polar FT series has to get a battery change once a year which is $25 + shipping and you have to send it back to the company for the change! Total downer for a slacker like myself who would probably never mail the damn thing back for a new battery.

Yeah that sucks that it's not even user replaceable.  I think that's a major gripe of the Polars.

i've had my fitbit for over 1 1/2 years.  I LOVE the weekly updates to see how I compare to the week before.  If I only go up 1% then I am happy.

What I want this month.
to enjoy training so much that it becomes a positive addiction.

good luck.
