Sooo......

I've developed this habit now.

When I happen to drive by a Casual Male XL clothing store now, I kind of reflecively say "F*&K YOU, CASUAL MALE!!!"

.... I really hated having to had shop there.  If I never go back in my entire life it will be too soon.

I can relate. I can't wait to no longer need to ever shop in a Lane Bryant again! Too expensive, and the quality of their clothing seems to be decreasing every year.

They are too expensive.

I haven't been in a Lane Bryant, so I don't know their style.

But as a gay man in his 30s, I do not want to dress like a retired man living in Florida!!  DO YOU HEAR ME CASUAL MALE?!?!

Oh yeah, doesn't matter anymore. :)

Too Funny,
My husband was somewhat upset that they did not carry his new size because he did not know where to buy his work shirts or blazers.
I had to introduce him to Macys (LOL)

Ruggie - I'm with you. I went there once and once only. It killed me. However, it was the only place I could find a bathrobe big enough to cover me and be comfortable. UGH..... I paid 120 bucks for that robe about 12 years ago. I was in my mid thirties then and was so embarrassed......

Okay, maybe it's time for you and your guy to take a quick drive to Vacaville to the outlet mall. Just go west on I80. You can't miss it.

I get pretty good deals at Eddie Bauer and Polo, and once I'm at goal I'm going to get something at Calvin Klein or Burbery just because I can! LOL

So here's the other thing - now that I can wear a variety of clothes, I have to learn fashion.  Because I have options now, instead of having to buy the couple things that fit.

I do know the Vavaville outlet "mall", but my fiance and I went up to the Roseville Galleria yesterday - a friggin' HUGE mall.  I realized that I was walking past all these clothing places that I used to ignore - but why?  I can fit in them now.  I went into The Gap and H&M and looked at all the different styles... and then wondered which style is mine?  I know, I'm an non-stereotypical gay man.  Revoke my card.

I thought about buying clothes, but I'm stlil losing, and I have this silly T-shirt collection, and people are switching to spring lineups.... ugh.  I need someone to shop with me and tell me what looks good and bad.  I also realized I don't know how to properly "layer".

Yeah I think the same about Lane Bryant a/k/a Lane Giant. About a year ago at my goal weight I went in one and was totally snubbed by the clerks. Loved it.  And yeah their stuff is mostly polyester tents and I can't stand anything but cotton fabric.

Hubby always ordered all his stuff on line from Casual Fat Male. He hates to shop so its a whole new world that he can go in a store and buy something. Actually he has yet to do so but I buy for him.

Others stores always have "Woman's World" which meants fat lady department. Seems like they are more and more available. Where were these fat clothes 20 years ago when I needed them?

Ruggie have you ditched all your fat clothes yet?   I still have some to dump.

Diane
