NSV quirk
Ruggie, I totally hear you about having to learn fashion. At Size 22/24, I just bought whatever fit, often in all the colors it came in. Now, I too am learning what's right for ME.
I went on a Mediterranean cruise last June, and of course had to buy all new clothes for it. When I came back there was something I didn't like about seeing myself in the pictures, and I suddenly realized it was because my clothes were too big! At about the same time I had a GF who told me I should buy clothes that fit, and what went thru my head was, I thought I WAS! But the reality was, I needed to learn what "fit" really means.
The realization that I have a shape, and that fitted clothing looks good and is appropriate, was a revelation.

I often go to Casual XL and probably still will for some items after I get to my goal weight. Of course it is more because my torso makes up most of my height instead of my legs. My wife who is 5'9 has the same inseam I do at 6'2. If you thought finding larger sizes is a pain at normal stores, try looking for larger & Tall sizes.
OMG this post is cracking me up! Try finding plus sizes for amazons- talk about a small pool of choices! I think I would rather risk the retired Florida dude than have to endure the polyester tents that are too friggen' short!

OMG DOOOD I can SOOO relate I hate those ******s!
I hate that I STILL get fatty catalogs now...even when you ask them to stop they still keep coming. It is like they are saying..."you will be back....you will be back!" "FUCK YOU....I will!!" Never again! Even better....is their ****ty clothes were expensive....I can buy lots of stuff off the clearance rack now! It is so awesome....ya know?

Hahaha
There's someting really visceral about this, you know? I've had lots of NSVs now, and this isn't just another "I'm glad I don't have to shop at Casual Male", it's "I want them to be destroyed!!!!"
Between the prices and horrible selection, I felt like they were saying, "Well, what are you going to do? You have to wear clothes to work. You have no option but to buy this ****ty Hawaii shirt for $75. Ha ha, we've got you fat man!"

I actually have to buy my brothers stuff burlington coat factory, he's about 6'6 370 that casual male **** is expensive! We have to buy his underwear there some times damn 18 dollars per pair, do you know my pretty underwear doesn't even cost that much a pair! I'm on strike against rip off bryant... Until I need something lol
I am right there with you! Thats about the only place I've been able to shop for years.
Just yesterday for the first time I bought clothes at a "normal" store... Old Navy.
I vowed today to start unsubscribing from all the fat store adds that show up in my email.
As far as style, I can't help ya there. My wife claims that I dress like a six-year old. Hey, where I work, they put emphasis on being "casual" so I wear tshirts and shorts everyday. The only seasonal change is during the winter I wear sneakers and flip-flops during the summer!
