Bottom Of Screen Advertising Bar: McDonald's. Anyone Else?
On the bottom right of the screen just above the bottom bar of the browser showing the advertising there is a a double down arrow icon. Hover your mouse cursor over that double down arrow icon and the word "Hide" comes up. Click on that double down arrow and the advertising bar disappears. Can't fault the board administration for trying to pay the bills, but, don't have to look at advertising that is in conflict with our purpose.
I've never seen any "inappropriate" ads on this site and I've seen about 3 or 4 threads about them since I've been here. The way i feel is, we had surgery, the world didn't. It doesn't have to stop for us. Other sites have those types of ads and as soon as we click out of this page, we are going to see food ads and there are food ads playing on our tv right now and when we drive down the street we are going to have to resist fast food places. I don't think OH puts those ads there, I think it's based on our searching and I think I think we have to be able to stare at McDonalds in the face and be ok with it.

I'm pretty sure my Ad Block Plus blocks them. LOVE that plug in.
