Quite honestly, reading this makes me want to never come back on here again.  I was going to recommit some time.  But, yea.  Probably not gonna happen now.

**** Frisco. Life happens. Sometimes we just need a break.

I lurk everyday. I post all the time in the Slow Losers group, but I needed a break from the main VSG forum.

Stop being so dang narrow-minded.

Give people the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe some of us have a sick kid who's had the flu for almost a week and will have to go back to the doctor for a second time this week tomorrow. Maybe some of us have 2 feet of snow to dig through. Maybe some of us have husbands working long hours and we are just trying to make sure we don't eat because we're stressed to the gills.

You have fantastic information to share, but verbal garbage like this makes it all just sound like white noise.

Back to lurking.

You can think what you want to think and I may have not communicated it well......

Hey Frisco - you are definitely an inspiration to me.

Now stop trying to save us all and keep being you.  Your success is what people need to see.  I get that some need tough love and some need a kick in the butt - but we can't really save anyone who is not ready to be saved.  From day one I decided that the only way I would succeed in this journey would be with a positive attitude - and that is what I try to share with everyone on here.

By the way - thanks for being on here and sharing your journey - it is an inspiration and shows that if everyone sticks to their surgeons plan, they really can succeed.  Now can I get a little food porn please?

Frisco,
I hear what you're saying.

I think everyone comes to this place, to this surgery with a 'picture" in mind of what it will be.

Some find it to be exactly what they thought, some find they have to work at making it what they thought, some learn that it can be something other or better than what they thought and some get lost.

It's all very human. Sometimes it's just not the right time for people.

What I think is beautiful, is that after the sleeve surgery, if they ever want to give it another try...it's going to be a lot easier for them.

People like you want to see everyone succeed the way you have, and you see it as something totally achievable if you just follow some simple plan. I applaud you for this.

But sometimes, it's just not the right time for some people.

To everything there is a season.....

keep up your support, we all need it.

Um, I hope this wasn't directed at me.

I've posted a few times about counting down to my surgery date, and my last few posts have been about being sick, a problem at work, and a local girl who was missing and has just been found. Not exactly positive topics, but I needed to be able to talk to someone about these things, and in regards to the work situation, my post was an effort to vent instead of binging.

I am still very much excited about my upcoming surgery, and I plan to stay here a long time after the surgery. Although, if the vets here that I respect and look up to are going to view me in this light before I have even been sleeved, then maybe I won't get the support I need here after all...

Forgive me if this sounds irrational. I am sick as a dog right now, and I'm sure I'm taking things more harshly than I would if I felt better.

But honestly, Frisco, I look up to you and the others, and it does bother me to think that someone on here would be keeping tabs on my posting trends and would potentially judge me for them. I don't plan to be one of those people who "fizzle out," but in a way this is just like any other lifestyle change; some will be able to make it permanent, while others will find themselves struggling.

that's exactly what this website is for... to get the info you need to calm yourself down, to help decide what surgery you are going for and to get excited to have the surgery! and give you the help you need to maybe stay on track or vent about WLS issues.. I really don't think its about making life-long friends..
