Stomach Virus and the VSG?

I am sure someone here had delt with this, is there anything special I need to know or be prepared for? When I had my band they always sent me right to the ER for an unfill and drugs, but do I just ride it out with the VSG? Any tips on how to stay hydrated, or did you have trouble getting rehydrated after?

I don't have it YET, but it has invaded, daughter started about an hour ago and second son about 10 mins ago (thank GOD we have three bathrooms LOL). So I am pretty much doomed at this point.

You will be miserable for a while, but as long as you stay hydrated, you should be fine.  If you know it is in the house, you might want to increase your fluid consumption right away, while you still can do it.  Good luck.

I did get a stomach virus about 6 mo post op.  While darling daughter experience vomiting and diarrhea with it, I only had the diarrhea. Couple of times I really wished I could vomit, the stomach was really queezy, but didn't happen.  All in all, it was really not better or worse than pre-sleeve - stomach bugs suck either way!
