Shrimp?
I too have been eating shrimp and fish since week 3! At 2 months I still cannot eat more than 1 oz of chicken and beef unless it's ground and mixed with other things. Shrimp, fish, and cottage cheese are my "go to" proteins. I buy them in bulk when I find them on sale and freeze it in 2 oz. baggies.
He didn't say anything about weeks, just to not eat it at all. I think he is more knowledgeable about cutting on people and not so much what food to eat. I had 3 shrimp the other night and although I felt bad, I really think it was from eating too fast. I have really slowed down today and I'm feeling much better after eating.
I guess this is why they have you see a nutritionist since its not their specialty.

On the eating slower thing, try sitting your fork/spoon down in between bites and DO NOT pick it back up until you've chewed, chewed, chewed, and then swallowed that one little bite. It helps tremendously. On the shrimp thing, I hate them. Not for any other reason than it's a texture thing, I can feel those little segmented body parts in my mouth and it skeeves me out. Lobster is the same way. I just don't eat either of those foods. With your reflux issues, and fast progression on foods, I'd scale back on trying new foods until your body settles. Once that tummy is all boogered up, it takes time for things to settle, the swelling to go back down, and the reflux to get under control. Be gentle to that baby belly! ! !

I am happy to report that I was able to eat 9 medium shrimp for dinner and I am not in any pain, it feels good, doesn't feel stuck and I didnt overfill my sleeve.
I really took my time and slowed down the eating and it worked out 100% better. I also started taking Nexium the Dr gave me the other day and that has made a world of difference with my acid. Much better then Prilosec!
Things are looking up!

This just shows how each sleeve has it's own personality, shrimp/scallops/lobster are all total slider foods for me, I could eat them all day and all night and not feel any real restriction or fullness. I have to add something to it, or eat something befor them or I will be hungry in less then 20 mins! I don't eat chili b/c the carbs are too high for me, so not sure what it would do to me.
Why would he say get stuck? Is he new to the VSG? Our stomach functions normally. I've never had anything get stuck in my stomach my entire life. Considering my stomach still functions normally, I don't expect something to get stuck now, especially shrimpS. I've been eating shrimpS since a month out and I can eat 2 oz at a time and still feel hungry. I think they're a slider for me. They've never made me feel sick and they've never gotten stuck. I do feel like they don't have nearly as much protein as chicken and turkey though. I'm not on beef and pork yet.
