Maybe eggface's blog has something... otherwise just fight it and it will pass. Keep yourself occupied.

LOL, I am 11 months out and haven't had more than one small taste of a dessert!
I do think the only thing I "crave" is a really good, fresh Sprinkles cupcake.   But, the thought of eating it makes me nauseous, LOL.   Go figure...

Drink...a protein drink the flavor of cupcake you are craving?   And remember "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

Cupcakes are far better enjoyed in my imagination than in real life.  Cake with frosting never sits well in my sleeve and I always regret it.

^^^^ Yes! This, this, this! I went out last night and they had cupcakes...very pretty, and I took one. I had two small bites before realizing my head wanted it but my body didn't, and it looked just as pretty going into the trash can. The people I was with haven't seen me since surgery and it blew their minds that I didn't want a dessert food.

Does it seem like it gets easier the farther out from surgery you are to have the 'take-it-or-leave-it' relationship with sweets?

If it is a cupcake made out of chicken you should be ok!

How about journaling it; date, craving and then something about whats going on emotionally, yesterday or today, later add any insights...  its the next best thing to a head shrink.. Our stinking thinking doesn't want to let us remember our insights, our victories and our positive changes, a journal can be a very powerful self reflective tool for change.

For such occasions I keep non fat sugar free pudding in the cupboard. I'll whip up a batch, plan for it for LATER in the day - say an evening snack - and look forward to it during the day. A half cup serving is 80 calories, 4.5 - 5.0 grams protein, and 8 carbs. (Doesn't add up, I know, but that's what MFP and LS say...)
Is it the best snack, probably not, but it's the snack that helps me get through the sporadic craving.
